EF English course in Ireland

Study abroad in Ireland and you'll be studying English in an exciting mix of ancient history and vibrant modern culture. Irish culture is rich with legends, from romantic tales of warriors to fairies and devils, and Celtic myths still thread through daily life. But today, Ireland is full of innovation and growth, in part thanks to its youthful population - over half the Irish population is under 30! During an English course in Ireland, you will find the whole range of experiences, from listening to traditional music at rural festivals, visiting historic sites and buildings, traveling in the lush countryside, and a lively life after dark in Dublin’s numerous pubs and concert halls. Learn English while soaking up Irish culture and perhaps sampling a pint of Guinness, the world famous 250 year old Irish beer.

The capital of the Republic of Ireland, Dublin is one of Europe's coolest capital cities, and with an EF English course in Dublin, you’ll be right in the heart of it. The city pulsates with energy thanks to its excellent restaurants, chic boutiques, legendary pubs, beautiful art galleries, verdant urban parks, elegant architecture, fascinating and turbulent history, plus its unique scenic location perched at the edge of the Irish Sea. Other exciting places to visit are Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, legendary for its excellent nightlife, and also Galway, Limerick and Cork.

Accommodation in Ireland

Our English courses include several choices of lodging. The homestay in Ireland provides you with a carefully selected host family with a double room, which is usually included in the package price of the course. An Irish Homestay is a great way to see how the local people live in their private lives, and to get extra time to practice your English with your host family. But for those looking for independence and an international atmosphere, you may prefer to live in a student residence instead. In Dublin we offer lodging in our year round residence, Lad Lane, in en suite twin/triple rooms. There is a fully-equipped shared kitchen for self-catering and it’s only a five-minute walk from EF. In the summer we also have residences at Dublin City University where you can live in an en suite twin room in a student apartment.
